So I have freshwater setups.
I have a pair of Jewel cichlids in a 30 gallon tank. They finally spawned for me and had about 25-30 make it. Within 3 weeks if that long they spawned again. Removed the first babies due to them eating eggs. I know have somewhere between 100-200 babies.
Now in my 55 gallon tank that I have split down the middle I have 2 pairs of convict cichlids that both have roughly 50-75 babies each.
I went to clean the 180 today and find that my red devil is protecting eggs. I have no idea who the father is. I wasnt sure that the red devil was even a female. Possible mate to the red devil could be my 9 1/2" green terror, jack dempsey, jag, or the amarillo/red devil cross I got from Bruce. As soon as I see fry I am catching them and moving them so they dont get eaten.

Do you have any red jewels you are wanting to get rid of still?
