Picked up a beautiful male mandarin today. It was fat and eats frozen as well. It has already been eating pretty well even a few mins after acclimation. Very pretty fish.

Its awesome that he eats frozen but youll need to feed him several times a day. They eat little bits at a time very frequently.

I have had one in my tank now for a couple months. I never see him come out and eat when I feed but I assume he is eating something as he swims all over the tank and looks healthy. It might be a she...not really sure of the difference....pretty either way.

Males have large fins including a large tall dorsal. Mine is picking stuff off the rocks and glass but is staying behind a rock pile for now

Mine does not seem to mind the flow. He goes where he wants. I have roughly 5500 gph in my 90 and he still swims around the rocks and whereever he wants. Or actually I think it is a she.
