I found a crab molt today... doesnt fully look like my emerald crab. I dont think i have any hitchikers.. i havent picked up rock in forever.
Has larger pinchers with sharp black claws...
Trying to figure out if its my emerald molting.. or if i have had a hitchhiker for a long time that i dont know about.

Emeralds get huge? I havent seen mine in a while.. wonder if the gorilla killed it... read below
Ohh.. and just googled gorilla crab.. same color.. same hair.. same claw size and color.. :-( Going to setup a glass cup tonight on a slant... with food in the bottom.. so he goes in but cant climb back out.. but dont think he will come out so soon after a molt...

No emeralds are fairly small, the gorillas get huge.

I have had this one for a few months apparently. No other rock additions otherwise.

I was not aware that crabs molted. I have not seen one do that. I thought they just grew their shell.
