I want to get some new fish I just dont really know what I want. I know I want a tang but I want to add it last so it doesnt beat up new fish. What do I want before that? Right now I have a clown, a black and white clown, a coral beauty and a mandarin. What do I want?

Royal gramma are nice and colorful plus they live for a , well that's not important, what is is that it's a nice colorful fish. Dottybacks are also a personal favorite as well as blennies.

From one fish slaughtermaster to another... I will second the motion to get a Royal Gramma... The one I killed was a gorgeous little fish... Maybe a purple firefish, that poor animal was also very attractive...

Yeah the last firefish I bought live approximately 24 hours and kicked the bucket. I have thought of getting another though. A royal gamma would be nice too.

A royal gamma or a purple dotty back. They are both dotty backs, so you would probably get only one or the other.
I have had both (not at the same time) and they are both a pretty active fish.

Blue chromis may be your best bet. I have heard that they can live through a tank cycle. LOL

I have three and they are nice looking fish. The mix well with the yellow tank and orange of the clowns. They have a metallic shimmer, and again very hardy.

I have a Bangai Cardinal and a Midas Blenny, both very nice fish. I'm looking to add either a herim of Anthias or more likely a few Fairy Wrasses.

I would love the midas, but have already had a carpet surfer. Heard that the midas is well known for thier spectacular jumps.

I lost a Midas due to jumping last summer after only having it for a month or so. I now have my tanks covered with a fine net. It has worked well so far.

What kind of net? My MH lights would scare me to put flammable/plastic based products over my tank.

AKA Darla,
What all have you had? Is this a FO? My favorite is the lionfish. But corals and smaller fish are a no,no.

What kind of net? My MH lights would scare me to put flammable/plastic based products over my tank. I been running this for about 6 months with no problems at all. I purchased it from a guy on another message board and installed it in screen window framing. This is setting below dual 250W halides. Oh, it is so think I don't think it will effect par by any measurable levels. Even if it does cut it 1-2% I will take that decrease to keep my fish were they belong.

Now that is a thought. did you make the frame? Fit to size? I would feel safer about the net, but the heat still makes me conserned. Is the screen you have just regular screen from lowes?

Kiding aside, I always wanted one of those. But from what I have heard is that they need a special algea and lots, lots of swimming room.

Yeah I dont know why I can keep a mandarine alive but seem to kill all the fish that are supposed to be hardy and hard to kill but leave it to me to find a way.

Yes, they look the same for the first month or so then the MI starts to change into its dead form.
