Seriously though that is about it. My 2 pair spawn about every 2 weeks.

Yeah the ones I had would breed all the time. A few would make it alive while the rest would get eaten by the other fish in the tank but that is because I was not trying to breed them so I didnt pull them out or anything.

This last batch of convicts I didnt pull out and so far quite a few of them have made it. Now the jewel cichlids I didnt pull out and i think all but a couple got eaten.

one of the guys i work with had hybrids breed they were convict, texas cichild babies

I didn't know there was a secret to this. Just kidding LOL. My babies have had babies. I think there are great grandfish on the way.

The ones that I am breeding right now were babies and I gave their siblings and parents to Jo-Marrs a while back.

texas cichlids are exactly the same as convicts, just bigger, find male, find female, put in water, breeding commences soon after.
ive got two pair, they lay eggs about every month.
