Recently I had my firefish jump out of my tank overnight and did not find it till morning. I can't understand why it jumped out. My water is fine and nothing that would scare it that I know of. I did a water change a few days before but everything was fine. Would like some help so maybe it will not happen again.

Sometimes they just jump. Get some egg crate and cut it to fit the top of the tank to stop jumpers if you think you need to.

Firefish are jumpers as well as some gobbies and blenies. I say try the egg crate it is a bit better than a solid cover IMO. You have not lived until you have had a $120 fish jump out though, I lost my Watanabe angel a few years ago to a random jump incident.

Firefish are jumpers as well as some gobbies and blenies. . Just wanted to add dart fish, fairy wrasses and hawkfish to Ron's list. Especially if you plan to keep known jumpers cover you tank with egg crate or the like. Ouch...I thought it was bad when my wrasse ended up as jerky on the center brace.

It's a sad part of this hobby IMO, sooner or later you will have an overly adventurous fish that tries to explore beyond his known world, and he will pay the price unless you find him before it's to late, which I have also done.
