BE WARNED there is a LFS that has been selling "Flower Pots" (Goniopora) directsealife.com/images/Goniopora%20sp.%20(blue%20purple%20polyp).jpgand telling customers that they are easy to keep. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS, they are anything but easy to keep and a quick look through any reef forum will tell you that even expert reef keepers do not recommend them.

Missed this earlier. I imagine they keep them next to the carnation/cauliflower corals?

3 weeks is not along time thats a relatively short time. just because it looks good now dont mean its not dieing, you can have a mandarin dragonette in a bb tank and it will look good for over a week that dont mean hes healthy hes just slowly starving off.
Marine tanks dont show everything right away its a slow process.

Yes these are not advisable to even advanced level hobbyists and should be avoided at all cost.
