Just got back from a business trip to Richmond, VA. While I was there, of course, I had to make my usual visit to see my friend, Joe Genero, that owns Fish World Saltwater store. I took some pictures of his incredible reef tanks and will post them as soon as I can. If any of you ever get down that way, his store is a must visit and I can give you directions. I had him take a picture of me beside his big tank for scale. Without a person in the picture, you can't get the sense of just how big his 1200 gallon reef really is. He's got a giant blue clam in that tank that weighs 75 lbs! He's also got a new 900 gal tank set up that is great! It uses SEVEN 400 Watt Halides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The tank is about 7 feet long, 3 feet tall and 4 feet from front to back, so its got some cool depth to it when looking through the front glass. I'll post soon.

1200 gallon tank just makes me go hmmmmm..... I wonder if I can fit that in my basement? Easy, just drop another line off the power pole for it. No problem.

You don't need a big basement. You just don't put anything else in it. Nothing but a big tank.

Dyami has more than enough room , BTW FW is not a sponsor yet, you should ask him if he would like to become one that way you guys can talk about FW all you like. I know it would cost less than what he pays for for adds in coral magazine and would benefit him greatly IMO.

I got the room, but I think I would have to make the door a little bigger.
No problem, I have a sledge hammer. I might have to add a few inches of concrete to the floor, but it would be sooooo worth it.

There are several nice lfs in Richmond. I have been to most. There is also a very nice one in Ashland Va., at least there was a few years ago. Owner was really nice as well.
