I saw this snail without a shell on the glass the other night. No clue where he came from, I haven't gotten "live"rock since April. A sea slug of some sort.

It's a snail, they have a strange shell on there back, look close you will see it. They are great cleaners, I can not remember the name right now, but they usually thrive for a few years then poof gone just like that. Prob stowed away in your LR till he was big enough.

thanks guys. Very cool. I saw him first about 2 weeks ago but this was the first time he was out during the day and was actually on a rock instead of the glass.

They normally hide through the day time but in my 2g they are out all the time. They are awesome cleaners and readily breed in our temperate tanks. I have babies. I also have at least 1 in my 29g but yoiu almost never see him.
Stomatella is the name. Great to have.
