Ok I have had these in my 2g since I got it and have never seen them on anything other than the acrylic (they are always on the acrylic. I have tried like you wouldnt believe to find these guys online. I believe they are some type of flatworm. But I dont see them ever bother anything but the algae on the acrylic. I borrowed this pic link for id because my camera cant get them (man I need a new cam) Its the horseshoe shaped thing. Take a look and see if you can help me out. I need info lol. www.dominopads.com/reefbug2.jpg

Does it dart away when you get near them with anything? I had little bug looking things on my glass for a while and I just thought they were some kind of pod.

Na it just keeps moving around in the glass like nothings going on. Dont pay any attention to anything. I watched my stomatella just push it out of his way.

Not a pod, that's a flatworm.
There are a few naturl predetors for them. You can use a six line wrasse, Yellow cory wrasse, and some say the madarins will pick at them.

I have some flatworm exit if you want to try it. Just have to be careful in that little tank.

I dont see them bothering my corals or anything for that matter. Im not sure I want to try the FWE just yet. Ill keep it in mind though. Just to small of an area for me to feel safe. I read in another forum that they are pod eaters. I have an overload on pods so they arent hurting them to bad.
Just gotta figure this out for sure. They dont really bother me by looking at them. and I never see them on the rock, sand, corals, hermits, or anything... except the glass.

Mandarins will eat them... i know someone with 4 mandarins in his live rock tank (full of live rock) with only flatworms... They have been in there for probably 6 months and doing well. Its a 280g tank i think.
