Help maybe, I have some WH and they were looking very nice. Flowing in the current until about a week ago. They started(I thought there was sprouts coming up) looking a little white and stiff. Now the whole group is half the size and white, not moving in the current. Note there is a lot of small ones(white) surrounding the old ones. Are they reproducing or dyeing?

can you get a pic up for us to look at by any chance? Have you run the usual water tests? If they are getting to much direct flow they can have a problem with exanding but I doubt thats it.

Well, the answer is reproducing! THe 3 or 4 that was on the rock is now 10. Theyare coming back to their normal look. The action of some of the things in our tanks are so odd. Some times they can give us warning that something is wrong and other times just give us sleepless nights!
Oh well, I guess that is why we do it. Love and learn.

How much flow do you have in the tank? I was wondering because cloves seems to like quite a bit of indirect flow. I am glad to hear things are doing better for you.

From what I am learning I have just enough for softies but not enough for hard. The WH are in a high flow area. They really do look alot better today.
Also noticed, looks like a hairy mushroom that I have had for about three weeks split last night.

You want to sleep at night get a real live newborn baby. We get more sleep than we do with our reefs, If we aren't losing sleep because something isn't right (worrying about the reef) then we are up because good things are happening and keeping us up in awe of what goes on in our reef tanks. LOL I had dendro spawn one night it was amazing. but the most amazing was a few weeks later when I started getting all the little ones sprouting up. Till the crabs ate them, but I did have a couple back in the rocks get about 3 inches before my tank was sabotaged.

I am either feeding, daipering or looking. Oh well, sleep is overrated, ask my friend on my shoulder. ;D
