Best of luck, we have had a serious clown production system in operation for years and let's just say it takes a loooong time so be patient.

Yes, Wilkerson's book is pretty much the Bible of clownfish breeding. I used to breed clowns a few years ago with mixed success. It is a very time consuming endeavor but it is also rewarding. If you get a pair to breed let me know as I have some knowledge on what to do next.

Sounds like the male is showing submission to the dominant female. That is how pairing starts off. Heres a copy and paste... Often times the female will nip at the males tail and the male will look like he is having a seizure. He will roll on his side and start twitching rapidly. This is his way of saying I give up to the dominant female. Do some research and be prepared. It will be awhile before they breed. So spend the time wisely. Odds are you will not be prepared for the first batch no matter how much you read up on it. But the more you know going into the game will affect your overall turnout. Heres a couple links to get you started... Heres the best link you can get. Its MOFIB the breeding forum... www.marinebreeder.org/And heres a good one... www.breedclownfish.com/And some others... www.clownfish.ws/breeding.phpwww.netpets.org/fish/reference/saltref/brdclown.htmlYou should definitely by the book by Joyce Wilkerson. And also learn about breeding phyto, and rotifers...
