Could be, not really sure. Is it red or is that just due to lighting?

Where did this rock come from? There is a chance that that may be a small LPS of sone sort, do not bother it and let it develop, you may have something cool there.

I can't remember where the rock came from. I fragged some gorilla nips a few months ago and put them on that rock. A few days ago the rock got moved and I saw something pink on the other side. I've got it positioned so that it gets direct light now. I just don't want a pest.

The possibility is to great that this may be something good rather than bad. If it's bad it can always be remove later. Does it ever retract and if so can you get a picture of it when it does? I'm still going with an unknown coral rather than pest at this time, as I have yet to see a pest anemone that color. If you just don't want to take the chance I would definitely take it, I have seen some interesting things just pop up on old LR, it's worth the chance for me.

I picked it up and made it retract. It has a hard base. I'll get a pic later tonight.

It looks alot like the hitchhiker coral we used to find on florida live rock a few years back.

This will give you an idea what it looks like closed up. My old camera wouldn't focus on the "coral"

Monitor it's growth, take update pictures every few weeks and target feed it with mysis shrimp. I'll be able to tell more about it as it gets bigger.
