Ok lets say you just wanted to use zeo for feeding and color changing but didnt want the entire setup or anything elaborate... What would you reccomend?
Is it only good for SPS?
How does it effect softies and LPS?

There is amino acid for LPS and it does work great. I would not recommend that you use these like a common supplement. I think you will find that it is not going to do what you expect. This is a low nutrient biological system. You are stripping the water of most of the nutrients, ending the nitrogen cycle by removing ammonia and phosphates and enhancing corals by providing exactly what they need and blocking the rest. You see the best results by using the system not a product. This is not your average supplement, rather a system for maintaning your reef. There are specific product for different color enhancements, LPS, SPS, and filter feeders. So far on my LPS I have seen greater girth and extension, the colors are becoming more robust purples and greens mostly. I have not begun many of the extras, just running sample size for now. There isn't a great deal of point to it until you deplete the excess nutrients from the LR and sand. This can take up to 6 months to complete. For now I am dosing Pohls extra, Amino Acid for LPS, Sponge Power, Coral Snow, Pohls Coral Vitalizer, Zeo Start2, Zeobak, and ZeoFood.
To begin with you need a Zeo Reactor, this is the heart of the system that removes Ammonia and cultivates a bacteria that removed the ammonia and is used by the corals. You will also need Zeobak, Zeofood, and Zeostart.
I would start there and let that run with just those for the first month. Then start adding into the rest. It relies on stable conditions, regular water changes, and due diligence to following directions.

Ok cool thanks for the response. I am considering it on my next tank i setup. Got plenty of time to research it. I heard the manual reactor you can pput to much into the water if your not careful.
How do you go about that?

You should read the Zeo guide here: www.zeovitusa.com/dosing_english.pdfIt is really a great read. I go back and re-read it often. Anyway to answer your question you should not exceed 100gph/ litre of Zeovit. You do this by trimming back the pump to the reactor.
