ok just picked off the grab bag rock a small crab with a square body 8 legs and 2 claws not big claws just in proportion. legs are brown with white spots and hairy. body is brown and greenish towards the top.
Any ideas?

ok here are some pics. Hope this helps. It will be sitting in that container until some one gives a yay or nay on it being reef safe or safe to put in the 44.

Kind of looks like an emerald to me. Common crab to have. Eats bubble algae. Id wait for another ID though

I don't think it looks anything like a emerald, and brown crabs, stereotypically have a bad reputation so I don't think i'd toss him in.

What color are his eyes when you shine a light at him? Red or blue?

i cant tell he is too small. he was living with the zoas and the mojano.
